Our MISSION
To break cycles of generational poverty, illiteracy, and fatherlessness by equipping boys in underserved communities with the tools to read, lead, and rise. Through literacy support, mentorship, and character development, we empower young men to reclaim their potential and build a future rooted in strength, purpose and leadership.

I live in Bankhead, a neighborhood that’s high in crime and full of distractions. Before NorthStar, I couldn’t see a clear path for my future. But NorthStar didn’t just give me hope — it also helped me and my sister get into a better school with a safer environment, which has made a huge difference for both of us.

Our Approach
Every boy deserves the chance to find his direction. At Northstar Atlanta, we guide young men toward confidence, leadership, and purpose through three pillars that light the path forward.
Literacy Support
We help boys strengthen their reading and comprehension skills through hands-on tutoring and engaging literacy experiences.
When a boy learns to read, he gains the confidence to lead.
Mentorship
Every boy needs someone who believes in him. Our mentors provide steady guidance, model accountability, and spark the leadership potential within every young man.
Emotional Wellness
We believe emotional strength is just as vital as academic and physical strength. Through guided conversations, mindfulness activities, and supportive mentorship, boys learn to recognize their emotions, manage stress, and build healthy relationships.
